Thomas, 32, is a 2x NBA all-star and 1x all-NBA player.

Over the past few years, Thomas has been in and out of the league due to injuries.

Thomas recently signed with the Grand Rapids Gold for the G League Showcase and scored 42 points to go along with eight assists and six rebounds.

The Lakers are in desperate need of healthy bodies; they currently have five players in COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols.

If signed, Thomas would have an immediate opportunity to play significant minutes.

However, ink hasn’t been put to paper just yet.
