The matter has reportedly been resolved, and Smart has traveled with the team to Miami.

Last season, Smart averaged 13.1 points, 5.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals on 40% shooting from the field.

The Celtics signed Smart to a four-year extension worth $77 million this offseason.

Smart is expected to play a larger role within the Celtics’ offense due to the trading away of Kemba Walker.

The Celtics will likely be without Jaylen Brown (Health & Safety Protocols) and Al Horford (Health & Safety Protocols) on Friday.
