Johnson, 21, was promoted from the Select Team to Team USA in the absence of Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Devin Booker; all of whom are competing in the NBA Finals.

McGee, 33, is a 3x NBA champion and defensive specialist who will add much-needed length to the team’s interior defense.

Team USA was scheduled to play the Australian men’s national team on Friday (7/16) – but that game was cancelled after Beal was placed in COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols.

With the Tokyo Olympics just eight days away, Team USA will have to gel quick to have a chance at competing for the Gold Medal.
