How Aussies Can Catch an Early Screening of Space Jam 2 Before Everyone Else

You’ve probably seen the July 16 release date for Space Jam: A New Legacy plastered everywhere, but there are a couple of things you may not be aware of.

Firstly, the Aussie release date is July 15, not July 16 like it is in the States. (Weird, right? Since when do we get anything first?)

Also, when July 15 rolls around in Australia, it will still be July 14 in the US. So really, we’re getting our Space Jam fix two days earlier.

But it gets better, because a whole bunch of cinemas around this fine nation are offering screenings well in advance of the official release date, giving you the perfect chance to get in first and spoil it for all your mates before they can spoil it for you.

And no, we’re not being paid to funnel you into your nearest cinema. This is purely a public service announcement to let you know that you’ll be copping Space Jam 2 before everyone you don’t like (and everyone who doesn’t follow BF) (which is everyone we don’t like).

The only catch is that Covid – as it tends to do – may ultimately drive a truck through your plans, especially if you live in Sydney.

Event Cinemas, Palace Cinemas and Hoyts are all offering advanced screenings from July 8. But everyone living in Sydney and its affected surrounds will need to wait for the current lockdown to end and for cinemas to reopen on July 10.

However, if the lockdown ends on time, you’ll still have the chance to catch an advanced session before screenings open to the general public.
