Charlotte Hornets’ forward Gordon Hayward is going to be sidelined for “at least” four weeks with a sprained right foot.

Hayward suffered the injury in the second quarter of the Hornets’ 114-97 win over the Indiana Pacers on Friday night.
The Hornets have been decimated by injuries in recent weeks, losing LaMelo Ball to a fractured wrist, Malik Monk to an ankle ankle sprain, and now Hayward to a foot sprain.
It seems Hayward has been off and on injured reserve perhaps more than any other player over the past few years – but when he’s been on the court, he’s played at an all-star level.
This season, Hayward is averaging 19.6PPG, 5.9RPGand 4.1APG on 47% shooting from the field and 42% shooting from three.
The Hornets are currently in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings, but only one and a half wins above the eighth place Boston Celtics.
The Hornets will square off against the Celtics on Sunday (4/3) at 6PM EST.
