THE LOCK

Memphis Grizzlies v Washington Wizards UNDER 237.5 total points

@ $1.90 (Sportsbet)

12 units

Memphis have started to play strong defense in the past week as they’ve (on average) held opponents to under 100 points over the last 4 games. They aren’t the most explosive offense as they rank 20th in the league for points scored, putting up 111 points per contest.

The Wizards are starting to make a real push for the playoffs in the east and while they put up some big-time numbers scoring the ball (average 115pts per game), the Grizzlies present a disciplined & stout defense that could cause them some issues. As fun as it is to watch shootouts, you’ve got to be smart and realise when a market is being overvalued. In this instance, we are confident the total points line is too high, so we’ll be riding with the under.

THE ACCUMULATOR

Leg one: Los Angeles Clippers –3.5 @ $1.90 (Sportsbet)

Leg two: Milwaukee Bucks -7.5 @ $1.90 (Sportsbet)

Total odds: $3.60

Total stake: 4 units

The Clippers let one slip against the Bucks, PG & Kawhi combined to shoot 0-9 in the last 4 minutes of the game. While the Celtics have won a couple of games recently, we aren’t impressed. They beat a struggling Pacers team and then beat that Wizards, but that was because Washington collapsed in the last 2mins rather than Boston being better. We feel great about LA’s chances to bounce back and not just beat the Celtics but kill them, don’t be surprised by a 20+ point victory, we certainly won’t be.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee has rediscovered some form as of late winning their past 5 with two impressive victories against a hot Pelicans team & championship contender in the Clippers. The Bucks welcome in a short-handed Denver team on the second night of a road back to back. The Nuggets will be without some key rotation pieces as Millsap, Green, Harris, Campazzo & Hampton will all be sidelined for this one. Giannis is starting to play inspired ball putting up big time numbers in the past week, Middleton is performing like he did to start the season and Jrue Holiday is back from COVID protocols. Similar to the Celtics, we think it’ll be a tough night in the office for Denver.

LeBron James triple-double

@ $5.50 (Sportsbet)

The Lakers have been a totally different team since Dennis Schroder has returned, they are playing solid ball and the King has been able to rest as he plays second fiddle. Today, with a big-time matchup against Western Conference rivals Phoenix – we know LeBron will show out.

He has secured a trip-dub 3 times this season. LeBron’s credentials speak for themselves, he is a stat sheet stuffer – so we love the value here for him to get his 4th. The relationship between CP3 and LBJ is a close one off the court but on it they play really hard with neither wanting to lose the matchup. He may be 36 but the King will put up ridiculous numbers today and we plan to take advantage of that.
