NBA Teams Preparing for Jam-Packed Second Half Schedule, Per Report

Adam Silver Second Half Schedule

NBA teams are reportedly preparing for a jam-packed second half schedule that will likely include more back-to-backs and “five in seven” trips.

Analyst Brian Windhorst reported on the second half schedule in The Hoop Collective podcast over the weekend.

“They are bracing themselves for the worst schedule they’ve ever seen,” Windhorst said, via Bleacher Report.

“All kinds of five games in seven nights, all kinds of strange road trips, where you’re playing East and West in the same road trip…when that schedule comes out, wait until you hear the griping.”

Many teams in the NBA have already faced a topsy-turvy schedule in the first half of the season due to COVID-19 outbreaks.

For example: the San Antonio Spurs and Washington Wizards have played in just 27 games compared to the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Clippers, who have each played in 32 games.

As of now, the NBA is still reportedly planning for all teams to play 72 games.

However, that may not be possible if the league sticks to its original schedule.
