Gregg Popovich has always given Nikola Jokic high praise and that seems to have escalated.
Popovich said Jokic “is like a reincarnation of Larry Bird.”
“He does everything, he’s amazing,” Pop added.
Jokic has become one of the best playmakers in basketball and is considered a point center.
The Nuggets defeated the Spurs 132-126 and Jokic had 25 points and 11 assists on the day. He is currently averaging 20.3 points, 10.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game on the season.
He has helped lead the Nuggets to the third seed in the West and is a threat each night to drop a triple-double.
He can visualize the whole court from the center position and his passing abilities coupled with his offensive game make him a matchup nightmare.
