New Orleans Pelicans rookie forward Zion Williamson is back in the Orlando bubble, the team said in a statement.
Williamson, who left the campus environment on July 16 to tend to a family medical emergency, will now enter the NBA’s quarantine period before he is able to rejoin the team.
While he was away, Williamson was tested for COVID-19.
With that precaution taken care of, Williamson should now only have to quarantine for four days, but the league has yet to make an official announcement.
Should he only have to quarantine for four days, Williamson would be available to play when the Pels open up seeding games on Thursday against the Utah Jazz.
“My family and I appreciate the love and respect that everyone showed us while we dealt with a private family matter,” Williamson said via a team statement.
