According to league protocol, Westbrook will have to quarantine upon arrival, then test negative twice before leaving his room.
It was only a week ago that Westbrook announced he had tested positive for the coronavirus.
If he’s already traveling to Orlando, it’s fair to assume he’s feeling pretty good.
The Rockets are going to need Westbrook in MVP form if they hope to compete in the Western Conference.
Although Westbrook started the season ice-cold, particularly from the three-point line, he pulled it together by March, posting a solid 27.5PPG, 8.0RPG, and 7.0APG on a career-high 52% from the field.
Coach D’Antoni seems dead-set on running a small-ball lineup, with Westbrook and James Harden leading the way.
If healthy, perhaps the duo can prove some doubters wrong when action resumes next week.
