Jimmy Butler Trade Sends Twitter Into Meltdown

After months of complaints, training incidents and seemingly endless staring contests, the Minnesota Timberwolves have finally traded Jimmy Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers — and NBA Twitter lost its mind.

The deal will send Butler and Justin Patton to the city of cheesesteaks, while Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jarryd Bayless and a 2022 second-round pick will head to Minnesota.

But who cares about the ins-and-outs of the blockbuster trade when there’s funny tweets to laugh about at Jimmy’s expense? Not this guy, let me tell you.

But in all seriousness, as Jimmy reminded us, he’s not a bad guy.

Just for the record though, usually it’s only ‘bad dudes’ who have to tell you they’re not ‘bad dudes’.

Who knows if Butler will mesh with Simmons, Embiid and Fultz…but either way it’s going to be one hell of a ride.

Just make sure to keep your calendar clear for Philly’s game in Minnesota on March 30 – it’ll be the biggest fireworks since New Year’s Eve.
