It’s been easy to miss amid all the preseason Markelle Fultz hysteria, but Joel Embiid is looking more monstrous than ever.
The man they call The Process went off for 20 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes on Friday, before putting up 21 points and 7 rebounds in 22 minutes on Monday.
Embiid has looked completely dominant almost every single time he’s touched the ball, and while it’s only been two preseason games, he appears ready to take things to the next level.
According to the man himself, this all comes back to focusing on bullying his opponents down low, despite the league trending away from post play overall.
“I think I’m unstoppable inside,” Embiid said this week, per NJ.com.
“With the new foul system, I mean, I create so much contact that every time they touch me, is a foul, so I have to take advantage of that.”
Embiid averaged 22.9 points and 11 rebounds last season as the Sixers made the second round of the playoffs.
Incredibly, it was only his second year in the league.
