It’s hard to process the fact the Cleveland Cavaliers, the NBA’s epicentre for drama and dysfunction, are just four wins away from the NBA title.
It’s even harder to process that, in the unlikely event of a Cleveland championship, Isaiah Thomas would be eligible for a ring of his own.
While there is no formal rule which requires championship teams to provide rings for players who departed midseason, it has certainly happened before.
The choice would ultimately be the Cavaliers’.
Thomas, meanwhile, has made his thoughts on the matter very well-known.

“If the Cavs win, I need my ring,” Thomas said in an Instagram Live stream on Thursday.
“Bron, if the Cavs win, send me my shit. And my suits! I haven’t got none of my suits that I got fitted for…Can you tell them to send me my suits? There was about five of them.”
Then came this post:
Safe to say the man can’t let go, and he’s out to get that jewellery.
Maybe he can have JR’s.
