Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams suffered a very serious lower-leg injury during Sunday’s 108-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
WARNING: graphic video of injury below.
The injury occurred with 1:14 remaining in the fourth quarter, following contact with Clippers defenders Kris Dunn and Derrick Jones Jr. Williams.
Williams drove towards the basket and landed awkwardly on his left leg, with it bending very unnaturally as it hit the ground.

“Just feel bad for him,” SGA said in a postgame televised interview, fighting back tears as he spoke. “Nothing more than that.”
Gilgeous-Alexander said on continuing on without Williams, “We don’t have a choice. It’s what we signed up for. It’s obviously going to be tough without a player like that. He’s not gone forever. He’ll be back better than ever. We know it. We’ve just got to hold the fort down until he comes back.”
Alex Caruso has the utmost confidence that Williams will bounce back, as he done from injury before.
“(JDub) is a resilient human being. He has great parents, comes from a great family of I think hard work and love and putting your best forward at all times. The couple years I’ve been here, getting to know his mom and dad I know that they raised their children right. And I think those characteristics and qualities are instilled in him as a person. A certain point you can’t be a victim anymore, and you have to take the adversity head on and kind of fight back. And he’s continued to do that, and I know he’ll continue to do it moving forward.”
