Steph Curry On LeBron James Potentially Joining the Warriors

Curry

Steph Curry has spoken about the hottest topic in the NBA right – LeBron James and his next team and how Steph would feel if LeBron joined him in The Bay.

Curry was asked about the teaming up the Lakers veteran whilst playing at a celebrity golf tournament in Stateline, Nevada.

“I’d say more so I’m interested to just play golf with LeBron. We’ll handle the basketball stuff, but I want to see the golf LeBron free agent. He’s out here really grinding on the game. But I’m sure we obviously would love to play together. I mean, hopefully it happens. But he’s deserved the opportunity and the right to take his time with the decision.”

Shams Charania says that the only way the Warriors could feasibly land LeBron is if they also land Anthony Davis. but those trade talks went away.

“The Warriors’ whole plan going into free agency was, ‘OK, let’s see if we can Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, LeBron James and Anthony Davis,'” Charania said. “Short of that, I don’t think the Warriors are up on that list. I think the Warriors believe they’re not up on that list unless they’re able to go package for an Anthony Davis.”

Jake Weinbach revealed if the Warriors were to re-engage on Davis, “a trade package would likely require Jimmy Butler, two future first-round picks, and at least one first-round pick swap. Acquiring the 10-time All-Star would come at a steep price for Golden State.”

Even if Golden State don’t land LeBron, Curry has faith that the front office will come through in the twilight of his career.

“They know how I feel,” Curry said of Golden State’s management, via SF Chronicle. “They’re always trying to win. It’s very unique circumstances right now, and it always goes back to timing and how many guys are available, especially at the top of the salary cap.

“I don’t know what kind of creative ways we can continue to get better if LeBron doesn’t come or whatever, but we’ll figure it out.”
