Warriors Targeting LeBron James & Giannis Antetokounmpo: Report

Warriors

Steph Curry’s championship window was already closing and now with the Jimmy Butler news, it’s not looking good, unless the Warriors can bring in the big guns.

As it stands, Golden State don’t have plans to trade Butler and his max salary following his season-ending ACL tear.

But, that could change if any big fish trade candidates become available during the offseason.

Giving Curry another realistic shot at a championship will require a huge trade in the offseason, as Jake Fischer explains.

“Sources say that the Warriors naturally do plan to feature prominently in the trade mix for Milwaukee’s Antetokounmpo if he truly becomes available via trade this offseason while also exploring the prospect of teaming James with Stephen Curry at last once LeBron becomes an unrestricted free agent on June 30,” Fischer wrote.

Hall of Famer Reggie Miller has urged Steph to give two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo a call to bring him to The Bay.

“If I’m Stephen Curry, maybe I open up my Rolodex, and maybe it’s time that I called someone in the Midwest by the name of Giannis Antetokounmpo,” Miller said on The Dan Patrick Show.

“And say, ‘Look, what you’ve done in Milwaukee has been fabulous. It’s been great. You brought them a championship, their first in 50 years. But the time is now. You’re getting older. I’m certainly knocking on Father Time’s door.’”

Former Boston championship Kendrick Perkins was also in the same boat.

“It’s time. It’s the perfect timing. If I’m Steph, right now, I’m getting my lightskin a** green eyes, and I’m picking up the f***ing phone. You know who I’m calling? I’m calling Giannis and saying ‘Hey man, what are you waiting on? Damn it, I need you, and you need me. Let’s make it happen, right now,” said Perkins on the recent episode of the “Road Trippin'” podcast.
