The Heat have been eliminated from the playoffs in one of the most humiliating ways possible and the NBA internet is having a field day.
The Cavaliers handed the Heat their worst loss in playoff history – 138-83. For context the worst loss in playoffs history was a 58-point loss.
Miami suffered the fourth largest defeat in NBA playoff history.
PLUS, the Miami Heat had a -122 point differential in the first round throughout the four games (works out to be -30.5 per game aka the WORST in NBA history).
Miami were down by 39 points at the half and their star player Tyler Herro only managed to score four points, one rebound and one assist the ENTIRE game.
Nikola Jovic was the only bright spark, scoring 24 points from the bench, while Bam Adebayo finished the game with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
For the Cavs, Donovan Mitchell was the highest scorer with 22 points, but the team used almost all their bench players, so Ty Jerome finished with 18 points and De’Andre Hunter 19 points.
The Cavaliers will now advance to play most likely the Pacers in the second round.
The most hilarious reactions to the loss are below:
The TNT crew tired of this Miami Heat game too lmaooo
Ernie: “This might be the worst game I’ve ever watched.”
Chuck: “I try to never use the words ‘quit’ or ‘choke’… this is quitting at its finest.”

Herro was bound to have a bad game after the comments he made about Jimmy Butler earlier this week.
“Obviously I know I need Jimmy to win,” Herro told The Athletic. “If we had Jimmy right now, I feel like it’d be a complete different situation. We probably wouldn’t have been a 8th seed. So finding that middle balance of like damn, we need him, but also understanding sh*t. That’s his career and what he wants is ultimately his right to want. It was just tough to be in the middle of both sides.”
