Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Dwight Howard Dropped

Dwight Howard

A lawsuit filed against former NBA All-Star Dwight Howard alleging sexual assault and battery has been dropped, according to ESPN.

The dismissal was submitted by Stephen Harper, who initiated the suit against Howard in July 2023.

In the suit, Harper accused Howard of sexually assaulting him at Howard’s home in July 2021.

The suit also accused Howard of “intentional infliction of emotional distress” and false imprisonment.

Howard denied the allegations, claiming he and Harper had engaged in “consensual sexual activity.”

One of Howard’s lawyers told ESPN that Howard did not pay Harper in exchange for dropping the lawsuit.
