What the Lakers Must Do to Win in Game 2, According to Draymond Green

Lakers super fan Draymond Green has explained the adjustment the Lakers must make in Game 2 to get one back against the Nuggets.

“If the Lakers want to win, Bron has to play on the ball,” Green said on his podcast. “…you saw some of it in the first half [of Game 1]…Bron has to dominate the tempo, he has to dominate the pace, he has to get the Lakers into everything.”

Green believes the Lakers were at their best in Game 1 when they played through LeBron and they struggle when he was on the bench.

Many are saying today is a must-win for the Lakers because if the Nuggets get another win under their belt, they will be very hard to stop.

“If the Lakers don’t win today, they’re done… They’re not gonna beat this [Nuggets] team 4 out of 5,” ESPN’s Jalen Rose said.

LA showed promise in Game 1 as they came from a 21-point deficit and cut the lead to three points but weren’t able to capitalise.

LeBron was clearly frustrated after the loss. “I know the game is won in 48 minutes but they set the tone in the first 24 minutes and we was playing catch up for the next 24,” he said.

Avoiding a 0-2 deficit to start the series before returning to LA would be ideal for the purple and gold.

Game 2 of the Lakers-Nuggets series will take place on Thursday, May 18 at 5:30PM PDT at Ball Arena.
