Utah Jazz’ guard Jordan Clarkson scored a career-high 45 points in his team’s 134-125 win over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.

“Today – in a lot of respects for JC [Jordan Clarkson] – was a culmination of just grinding through,” said Jazz’ head coach Quin Snyder, via NBA.com.
“He’s not gonna be on the all-defensive first team; and I think he’d admit that – but he cares. The last month or so, he’s been very deliberate in his work.”
Clarkson hasn’t been nearly as efficient of a scorer as he had been in recent years (down ~3.5% shooting from three over the past two seasons) – but you wouldn’t have guessed that from Saturday night: Clarkson looked vintage shooting 15-21 from the field, 7-13 from three, and 8-8 from the line.
De’Aaron Fox played great for the Kings with 41 points and 11 assists on 15-31 shooting from the field, 5-11 shooting from three, and 6-6 shooting from the line – but it wasn’t enough to stave off Clarkson and the Jazz.
