Celtics, Nuggets, and Spurs Agree to Three-Team Trade

Bryn Forbes to Denver

The Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, and San Antonio Spurs have agreed to a three-team trade, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Celtics will receive Bol Bol and P.J. Dozier.

The Nuggets will receive Bryn Forbes.

The Spurs will receive Juancho Hernangomez and a conditional second-round pick via Denver.

Boston will shed about $4 million in salary with the trade, via Celtics’ beat reporter Brian Robb.

It’s possible – likely even – that the Celtics will trade either Bol or Dozier to get under the luxury-tax threshold, via insider Bobby Marks.

Bryn Forbes – a career 41% three-point shooter – will be an immediate contributor for the Nuggets, who rank 18th in three-point shooting percentage.

Hernangomez struggled to carve out a role for himself with the Celtics; which means the Spurs may have simply dealt Forbes – who’s on an expiring one-year deal – to a contender as a gesture of good-faith.

The deal has yet to be finalized; other facets could surely arise before the League Office approves it.
