Boston Celtics’ forward Jayson Tatum and Minnesota Timberwolves’ center Karl-Anthony Towns have been named NBA Players of the Week for the Eastern Conference and Western Conference respectively.

Tatum averaged 31.3 points and 7.3 rebounds on the week while breaking out of a shooting slump.

Towns averaged 28.0 points and 7.0 rebounds on the week leading the Timberwolves to a perfect 3-0 record.

The Celtics and Timberwolves will need their star players to continue to play to form as both teams are struggling with COVID-19 outbreaks.

Tatum is averaging 26.2 points and 8.6 rebounds on 42% shooting from the field and 33% shooting from three on the season.

Towns is averaging 24.4 points and 9.0 rebounds on 51% shooting from the field and 42% shooting from three on the season.
