Ben Simmons May Report to Camp

Philadelphia 76ers’ star Ben Simmons may report to training camp as early as this week, per a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Simmons, 25, is a 3x all-star, with career averages of 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game.

But last season, Simmons struggled to stay aggressive within the 76ers’ offense – and averaged career lows in points, rebounds, and assists per game.

Simmons’ struggles came to a head in the postseason as the 76ers failed to advance past the Conference semi-finals for the third time in four years; swept in the first round of the 2019-20 playoffs.

This off-season, Simmons has made his intentions clear: trade me or I won’t report to camp.

Now, it seems Simmons might be on the verge of changing his mind.

The 76ers have reportedly attempted to trade Simmons – but haven’t found what they consider an equitable deal.

The best thing for both parties may be for Simmons to return and strengthen his trade value.

The 76ers tip-off the season with a matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana  on October 20.
