The Boston Celtics will “consider” signing free-agent big-man DeMarcus Cousins, per a report from NBA analyst Evan Massey.

The Celtics hoped to land center Andre Drummond in the buyout market but he went to the Los Angeles Lakers instead.
DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins is a four-time all-star and two-time all-NBA center.
But since injuring his achilles in 2018, Cousins hasn’t been able to consistently return to all-star form.
Cousins played 25 games for the Houston Rockets this season – and averaged 9.6PPG and 7.6RPG in 20 minutes per game.
The Celtics have lacked front-court depth for years and have long been linked as a potential fit for Cousins.
If the Celtics do sign Cousins, he’d likely back-up Robert Williams III, and or Tristan Thompson.
Massey also reports that the Warriors and Heat might be interested in signing Cousins.
Cousins played for the Warriors in 2018-19 – and was a vital part of the team’s playoff push.
