The New Orleans Pelicans are shopping veteran guard JJ Redick to Atlantic division contenders such as the Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, and Boston Celtics, per a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Redick (36) is in the second year of a two-year, $26.5 million contract – and is averaging career-lows in field-goal percentage and three-point percentage.
But despite his early-season struggles, Redick is surely going to attract suitors ahead of the trade deadline.
Charania reports that Redick would prefer to return to the Northeast; his family resides in Brooklyn.
Fortunately, the Nets, 76ers, and Celtics are all candidates for Redick’s services.
For the Nets to acquire Redick, they’d have to perform extreme financial gymnastics in order to make the money work.
The player salaries of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden alone has nearly tipped the Nets over the salary cap.
The 76ers could match player salary in a variety of ways without losing key rotation pieces like Seth Curry or Danny Green.
The Celtics could use the trade exception that was created as a result of the Gordon Hayward sign-and-trade – but many assume they’ll likely look to use that on a bigger target than Redick.
Whatever happens, it seems highly likely that Redick will be moved before the trade deadline on March 25.
