Stephen Curry and LeBron James are among six players who will have to hand back part of their paycheck due to the coronavirus hiatus.
That’s because players will be taking a 25 percent pay cut ahead of the 2020-21 season.
But James, Curry and others had already received their season’s pay in full.
Kevin Durant, John Wall, Paul George and Blake Griffin are the other players who will have to do the same.
This gets tricky because if the season resumes from March 11, all the players will be entitled to that money so they will not have to pay the NBA back.
But if the season is canceled and picks up from the playoffs, the players will be responsible for paying back that 25% difference to start next season.
Stay tuned for more updates.
